Mathis Fans,
We have received
reports that an unknown person is setting up fake Johnny Mathis/John
Royce Mathis/Royce Johnny Mathis profiles on Facebook, is contacting fans directly saying they
are Johnny himself, and asking for personal fan information. These are not coming from unofficial fan pages, but individuals pretending to be Johnny. It is most likely a phishing scam, and we
are working with Facebook & Twitter to resolve it.
Firstly, while Johnny loves his fans greatly, he gets so many messages each day that he regrettably cannot answer them all himself. He does respond online through the assistance of his fan
club staff, but not directly himself.
Secondly, any official Johnny Mathis Page on social media will have a blue verified checkmark next to the Johnny’s page name, which means it is authentic. These fake profiles may look like the real Johnny Mathis page, but if they don’t have the blue verified checkmark, then they are fake!
Our
biggest priority for Johnny’s fans online is to have a fun and safe social
experience on Johnny’s official social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, and
the official Johnny Mathis website, all of which can be found through the
direct links below:

So, if you are
ever contacted by anyone claiming to be the real Johnny Mathis anywhere online do not give them any personal information, and immediately report the profile to Facebook or Twitter!
